Sandra's Awards

Daddy's Boots was awarded 2005 Dixie Lee Connor's Best Manuscript in the Children and YA category at the Harriette Austin Writers' Conference at UGA, Athens. Additionally, the picture book was named the July 2010 MWSA "Book of the Month," and it took the Silver Award at MWSA's 2010 Writer's Conference in the Children Under 12 Category in Pittsburgh, PA. Momma's Boots took the Bronze in the same contest. A year prior, The Elementary Adventures of Jones, JEEP, Buck & Blue took 1st Runner up in the Children's Book Category at the 2009 MWSA Annual Writers' Conference in Orlando, FL.

Daddy's Boots and Momma's Boots tied for 1st place in the Children's Book at in the 2010 Branson Stars and Flags Book Award Program. Awards will be presented in November 2010 at Branson's Veterans Week in Branson, MO.
